The Starboard Freeride UCS windfoil is a very all-round and widely applicable windfoil for novice and experienced windfoilers. The new Freeride windfoil has a new and slightly larger E-Type front wing of 1400 cm2. This makes you get on the foil even faster and the foil even more stable.

We also use the Freeride UCS for our windfoil lessons. We appreciate the stability of this foil and the ease with which learners learn to windfoil. Compared to the Go Fly foil, the Freeride foil is clearly faster and has a more dynamic character.

The large front wing of 1,400 cm2 gets you onto the foil quickly and allows for relaxed and stable windfoiling. With this windfoil you can fly from about 9 knots (recommended sails up to 8 m2 maximum).

Please note!

These new UCS aluminum masts have a “deep tuttle head” made of aluminum and have a straight top. As a result, these masts do not fit into the so-called foil ready deep tuttle boxes, as used in (the older) JP, FMX and Future Fly boards, among others.

These masts do fit all Starboard foilboards (including the older generation boards).

Starboard UCS system upgrade

Starboard’s new UCS system will be used for all windfoils and wingfoils starting in 2025. This allows you to easily upgrade all foils with other masts, fuselages and wings. You can even easily convert your windfoil to wingfoil. You can do this by purchasing a top plate adapter (and a shorter UCS fuselage).

In short, with the Starboard UCS system you are ready for the future.
