The Starboard UCS angle spacer set is an essential tuning accessory to get the most out of your Starboard UCS wingfoil or windfoil. One set consists of 7 aluminum spacers in 0.25-degree increments.

Included in the UCS aluminum spacer set are:

• 0 degree spacer is the standard shim
• 0.25 degree spacer
• 0.5 degree spacer
• 0.75 degree spacer
• 1.0 degree spacer
• 1.25 degree spacer
• 1.5 degree spacer

How to use the UCS shims?

With the standard 0 degree shim (it comes standard with every UCS fuselage), the foil delivers the most lift (read; the “angle of attack” is then the greatest). We now know from experience that the Starboard UCS foils with the standard 0-degree spacers give relatively high elevator.

If you replace the 0 degree shim with, say, the 1.0 degree shim, the angle of the wing will flatten out, reducing the amount of elevator.
