Exchanges and returns
At Windfoilen Nederland you can exchange or return an item for free within 14 days of receipt. You can easily request a return or exchange request by sending us an email. You have 2 options:
- Exchange your product for another product.
- Return your product and have your money refunded.
You can indicate the choice in the mail to us.
In order to get the full purchase price back or to be able to exchange the product for another product, it is important to return your product in its original condition, unused and undamaged. So feel free to look at the product as you would in the store. Please note that the costs for returning or exchanging are for your account!
You are liable for the depreciation of the goods resulting from the use of the goods, which goes beyond what is necessary to determine the nature, characteristics and functioning of the products.
Refund after return
As soon as we have received your return in new condition, we will refund you within 5 working days. How quickly you have the money in your account depends on your payment method and bank. We will always refund you using the same payment method as you used to make the original transaction, unless you indicate that you wish to receive the amount back in another way.
Warranty
As an official dealer, we care about our products and logically do our best to deliver them to you in top condition. Nevertheless, it sometimes happens that an order breaks down (during transport) so that you can claim a (factory) warranty. If you discover a defect in the product, you must contact us within a reasonable period of time. A reasonable period is in any case within one month. Under certain circumstances, a period of more than one month may also be acceptable.
If you contact us in time, we will take care of the supplier assessing whether the defect is a manufacturing defect or whether it was caused by his own actions. If it is a manufacturing defect, the product will be repaired or replaced at the expense of the supplier.
Warranty Terms & Process
If an item shows a defect within the warranty period, it is important that we receive the following information from you;
- Photo of the product where the defect can clearly be seen
- Photo of the serial number
- Description of how often the item has been used and how / in what circumstances the product has broken.
Windfoilen Nederland submits a warranty claim to the manufacturer based on the information provided. If a warranty claim is granted, the manufacturer determines what will happen. Most common options are;
- Replacements of the product for an equivalent new item, if repair is not possible
- Repair of the product by a professional repairer (such as a sailmaker or board repairer), whereby the bill is paid by the manufacturer to the repairer or reimbursed to the consumer if he advances the repair (presentation of invoice is necessary).
The costs for transport / shipping to the repairer and / or returning the items are for the account of the consumer unless the entrepreneur has indicated otherwise to bear the costs for this himself. If the consumer receives a new product, the consumer can pick up the product in Almere. The new product can also be shipped, but the shipping costs are for the account of the consumer.
Adjusted warranty conditions for consumers outside the Netherlands
Of course, consumers living outside the Netherlands (within the EU and outside the EU) also have a guarantee on the products of Windfoilen Nederland. The above-mentioned process also applies to foreign consumers, where;
- Any repairs can be carried out by a professional repairer in the consumer’s country/region. Also in this situation, the repair will be paid by the manufacturer to the reaparateur or reimbursed to the consumer if he advances the repair (presentation of invoice is necessary)
- When replacing the product, the costs for sending the new product are for the account of the consumer.
